The renovations beginning in 2007 marked the first redesign in over 30 years for this beautiful restaurant and club in the heart of Split’s port district. Imperium is housed in an impressive split-level building, featuring about 2,000 square metres of indoor dining area and 1,000 square metres of outdoor terraces and balconies. Inspired by the expanse of the space and the breathtaking views of the harbour and distant Adriatic islands, the design team wished to evoke the feel of being on a luxury cruise liner. The geometric minimalism of the furnishings lets a 3m x 6m saltwater aquarium shine as a fitting focal point. Nothing beats the sea views from the exclusive aperitif and wine bar.
